The 2nd June 2006 marked the official opening of the People's Centre at the new Mount Pleasant site. Guests were invited to observe the opening of the Centre by Tony Woodley, General Secretary, Transport & General Workers Union in the Garden Meeting room or even via a Video link! Opening of the Art Gallery by Frank Hont, Regional Secretary, NW Unison - Click here for the Art Gallery opening photos from the event. ‘Capitalists of Culture’ welcomed guests and the public to the opening of the Art Gallery, with activities for children including face painting plus there was Music and Dance by OSUN ARTS. A discussion on the Northwest Migrant Workers Institute led by Dave McCall, Regional Secretary, NW Region, Transport & General Workers Union.
