Co-ordinator

Welcome to The Peoples Centre, founded in the late 1970's to provide facilities and services to all members of the local community, be they employed or otherwise.

Originally called the Merseyside Trade Union, Community and Unemployed Resource Centre located at 24 Hardman Street,

The Peoples Centre

is now situated at
50-54 Mount Pleasant, L3 5SD.
Although we are now a trimmer organisation, our aims and objectives remain the same. With the support of the Trade Union Movement and many organisations in the Voluntary and Community sector, we continue to work to combat unemployment, poverty and social exclusion.
We do this in a number of ways; through Research, Education and Training, by offering free Welfare Rights and Disability Living Allowance advice and through the work of One Fund for All (OFFA) which enables those in work to contribute to the running costs of the network of Unemployed Centres throughout Merseyside and Cheshire.
